On August 27, 2006 a horrible tragedy struck our family, friends and our community.  On the eve before Jessica was to start her sophomore year at the University of New Haven, where she was pursuing a degree in Criminal Investigations, she became the innocent victim of a heinous, senseless crime - a drive by shooting in Yonkers, NY.
